· What do I need to rent a Car?
You require:
· Be over 25 years old.
· Valid Credit Card with the minimun amount required.
· Valid driver's license.
· Personal Identification or Passport.
· Which is the most economic car in GAS CONSUMPTON?
The most economic car in gas consumption is the TOYOTA YARIS Hatchback and Daihatsu Sirion, with an average city consumption of 60 KM per gallon. (37.26 Miles per gallon)
Can I rent a vehicle to go out of Honduras borders?
The use of the vehicles from the fleet are exclusively for the honduran territoy. Nevertheless, it would be possible to request in special cases the authorization to use the vehicle when it is fulfilled by the following requirements:
To have rented in more than seven (7) occasions before the request, having demonstrated to be a good driver, payer and a responsible person .

To be of recognized moral solvency and to present a letter of request explaining the motives of the trip, country or countries to visit and the trip duration.

 

· Can I rent a car without having a Credit Card?
No, we only accept a Valid Credit Card in order to freeze the required amounts for the rent.
*We accept PURCHASE ORDERS from companies with an open Line of Credit with AUTOS CORPORATIVOS S.A.
· Can I use a Debit Card as car rental guarantee?
No, we do not accept debit cards as car rental guarantee.
· How long does it take so that I can use the amount frozen, on my Credit Card?
AUTOS CORPORATIVOS S.A., reports inmediately to the Credit Card Company the amount charged or unfrozen through the POS system.
However, the time that the Credit Card Company takes to unfreeze the amounts varies from two (2) to twenty (20) days.

 

 
· What payment options are allowed to pay the revenue of the car?

Accepted payment methods are:

· Credit Card (Visa, American Express and MasterCard)

· If the person opening the Rental Contract is not the same person that complies with the guarantee deposit by means of the Credit Card, can he take the vehicle, and can the credit card owner sign the documents afterwards?
No, the person who provides the Credit Card is the one responsible to sign the contract Without a previous guarantee, vehicles can't be rented.
· My wife is traveling to Honduras and needs to rent a car. Can I provide my Credit Card number over the phone in order to comply with the requirement so she can be able to rent the vehicle?
No. The Credit Card owner must be present in order to sign the guarantee and the rental contract.
· I have all the rental requirements except for the Credit Card. My friend has a Credit Card with the required amount. Can he fill this requirement so that I can be able to rent the vehicle?
Yes he can, and you would be registered as an additional driver. However the person responsible for the rent and/or expenses would be the owner of the credit card, who is also the person that signs the rental contract.
· I want my son to drive the car. Does this have an additional cost?
NO. Your son drives totally free, but he must be over the age of 25.
· Is the $5.00 additional driver fee a Daily fee?
Individuals Customers: your husband or wife, son's or daughters's drives totally free, but they must be over the age of 25. If the person need to add another additional driver he must pay a daily fee of $5.00
Corporative Customers: first additional driver is totally free and second additional driver has a total amout of $5.00
· Can someone who is not registered as an additional driver, drive the rented vehicle?
No. If that is the case and there is an accident, he/she will not be covered by the insurance and is responsible for the TOTAL costs of the vehicle, property damage and/or third party’s costs.
· Do you have MOTORIST SERVICE available and what is the fee?
Yes we offer this service. The daily cost is of $35.00 for 8 hours. The client must cover Hotel costs, ONLY when a trip out of the city is required.
· Can you deliver the car at the hotel?
Yes, As long as the reservation has been made two days before the rent and the required guarantee has been frozen on the Credit Card.
At what time am I supposed to return the vehicle, without having additional charges?
You have one (1) extra hour after the time you received the vehicle. For example, if you rented the car at 3:00 PM, you may return it at 4:00 PM of the next day. We give ONE extra hour for any last minute delays. (The EXTRA HOUR is not valid if the vehicle is rented one (1) hour before closing hours.)
If I can’t return the car within the one hour grace period and instead I return it three hours late, How much will I be charged?
If you return the vehicle after the extra hour, then you will have to pay each extra hour to a limit 2 extra hours. From three hours and one minute (3‘1”) we charge a full rental day.
· Are there any additional charges if I return the vehicle in a different city, from where originally I rented the vehicle? (DROP OFF)
YES. Drop Off charges are:
· $50.00 San Pedro Sula-Tegucigalpa or Tegucigalpa-San Pedro Sula.
· $50.00 San Pedro Sula-Ceiba o Ceiba-San Pedro Sula.
· $85.00 Tegucigalpa-Ceiba o Ceiba-Tegucigalpa.
*There is no ground transportation to Roatan, because it is an island.
· I need an automatic vehicle. Do you have any available?
YES. However we advice you to reserve these vehicles in advance due to their high demand. (Available only in YARIS Hatchback, Corolla and SUV's Daihatsu Terios).
· Which vehicles has the greatest passengers capacity?
